Policy Information
With
an ever-growing number of students, there is a need to make sure that
everyone is aware of the Myart policies. Your cooperation and support
of the Myart Noblesville, Carmel and Fishers art studios thus far has been truly appreciated. Please
take a moment, and read through our policies. Thank you.

Our classes are ongoing all year long and full
months tuition is due, the first class of every month
and it
is based on how many classes in that month
(full months tuition is required every month,
unless you're joining mid-month. Then we will prorate your
tuition.).
Tuition may vary slightly from month to month
due to 5 classes in a month or a holiday.
If
tuition is not received
by the 15th of the month a $15.00 late fee will be charged. You
will have the option to pay tuition at the studios with the correct
amount of cash (we do not have change at the studios) or a check
made payable to Myart (we don't take credit cards at the studios)
or pay with a credit card by receiving a monthly email reminder with a
online link to a payment form. When making payment at the studios,
please ask the teacher for the amount of tuition, or look at the flyer
in the entry way at each studio or refer to your Myart handbook that you
will receive upon registration before writing your check at the studios,
so the amount is correct.
You may start and stop
classes at anytime.
Tuition will be prorated for midmonth enrollment.
-
Carmel art classes, Noblesville art classes and Fishers art classes meet once a
week and are ongoing from month to month all year long. You may start and stop classes at anytime.
Tuition will be prorated for midmonth enrollment.
- Tuition is due the
first class of each month. Tuition is determined by the number of
classes in the month. If tuition is not received by the 15th of the
month a late fee of $15.00 will be charged.
-
Myart will not
provide any refunds or credits for missed classes, but we will offer
make-up classes. The 1 hour,
4-5 or 6-8 yr. old classes can be made up by scheduling a make-up class with
their teacher on the same day they have class by attending an
earlier class or a later class (this class may be a different age
level, but the teacher will work with them individually to get their
missed class made up to the best of the teacher’s ability). If their
teacher teaches another night during the week and it works within
the teacher’s schedule, the student may attend their teacher’s class
on another day.
The 9&up & Teen & Adult classes can be made up
anytime during the week when a 9&up class is offered with the same
teacher or a different teacher. Please schedule make-up classes with
the teacher or the owner, of the Myart Carmel, Fishers & Noblesville
studios, Sylvia Runningen. You can email at
sylvia@myartindy.com or call 317.443.6831.-
Myart will not
provide any refunds or credits for canceled classes that is not the
fault of Myart, for example, weather, power outages etc. Please respect this policy. We will only
cancel classes (still no refunds or credits) when there are
conditions that jeopardizes our students, their families and our
teacher's safety.
- Once you enroll,
our art classes are on-going all year long and we just assume you
will continue from month to month unless you notify us that you will
be withdrawing from the class. Please notify
the owner, Sylvia Runningen,
sylvia@myartindy.com at least 2 weeks in advance.
If you chose to pay tuition with a credit card, you will continue
receiving reminders of payment and if payment is not received
you will be charged a $15.00 late fee if you do not let us know your
child has quit classes.
- For the safety of
the children, students must be brought into the studio by a parent
or guardian at the beginning of the class. Also, students must be
picked up inside the studio at the end of class by a parent or
guardian. Myart will not be responsible for students once they leave
the studio.

MYART CLASSROOM
-
The
Myart environment is a quiet, safe place where students are able to
create in a non-competitive atmosphere.
-
Please
be prompt in picking up and dropping off your student. It is
important that your child not miss the warm-up time and project
explanation at the beginning of each class.
-
If you
have any concerns or need to discuss a situation with a teacher,
please make arrangements with that teacher to schedule a time to do
so. There is little time between classes and it is difficult for a
teacher to discuss any concerns at length during that time.
-
Food and
drink are not allowed in the classroom except water bottles that can
be closed.
-
Please
help your child to remember any coats, hats, etc. that they may have
worn to class.
-
Please
do not allow your child to bring toys, handheld games, etc. to
class.
-
Dress
your child appropriately for an art class. We are using permanent
markers, paints and pastels that can ruin good clothing.
-
Myart
reserves the right to refuse enrollment as necessary. Disruptive
behavior will not be tolerated.
ANNUAL ARTSHOW & ARTWORK
-
Each
year we will have a Nobleville, Fishers and Carmel art show held in late spring. This is
the culmination of all the student's hard work during the year and
is open to the community and guests of the students. Every student
is encouraged to participate. Refreshments will be served. As Myart does
not believe in competition among students, the artwork is not judged
in any way. The artwork is matted, accompanied by the name and age
of the student. There is a $25 fee charged: all artwork and matting is
returned to the artist after the show.
-
Many
times we will ask a student if we may make a color copy of their
artwork. We like to have at least one copy of each student's artwork
and a few copies of each subject taught. We will also use students'
artwork in brochures and displays. Please understand that artwork is
not selected because we think it is better. Artwork is chosen based
on subject, size, proportion and what reproduces well for printing.
The original artwork is returned to the student. Please let us know
if you have any objections.
MYART CLASS
CANCELLATIONS
Please do not assume that if the public school is
cancelled that Myart classes are also cancelled. Because
the majority of our classes begin later in the day, we do not
automatically close if schools close. Often, by the time our classes
begin the weather can change, the roads could be cleared and traffic is moving safely. If Myart classes are cancelled, we will
send out an email message, and if able will post it on the home page
of our website. You can always call
317.443.6831 to verify.
Myart will not
provide any refunds or credits for canceled classes that is not the
fault of Myart, for example, weather, power outages etc. Please respect this policy. We will only
cancel classes (still no refunds or credits) because of weather
conditions that jeopardizes our students and their families and
teacher's safety.
